Anthropic opened an office in Singapore and signed a memorandum of understanding with the Singapore government. The company has spent the autumn building state relationships rather than only selling to companies: a programme that has reached more than half of US states since June, eleven critical infrastructure partners under the Cyber Mission, and now a national government in Asia. An MOU is not a contract and its terms are not published, so what Singapore has agreed to is not yet knowable from the announcement.
