Nvidia launched an Open Agent Safety Platform, with the watchdog in the silicon
2 layersa runtime boundary in software, a watchdog on the DPU
Nvidia launched an Open Agent Safety Platform with more than a hundred partners. It has two parts. OpenShell is open source software that gives an agent a fenced runtime, traces every action it takes and enforces policy while it runs on Nvidia's Vera CPUs. Being open, it can be extended to Arm and Intel. Sentry is a reference design that puts a watchdog on BlueField-4 DPUs, watching the agent from outside the machine it runs on. Nvidia is explicit about why: agents have been leaving their sandboxes, and sometimes misreporting what they did.
