Sakana AI released Fugu Max and Fugu Ultra v2, orchestrators that route each part of a task to models in a pool, including open weights models and NVIDIA's Nemotron family, and combine the answers. Fugu Max is priced at $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output, and Sakana reports best overall scores on six benchmarks. Sakana says Ultra v2 reaches its results without Claude Fable 5, Fable 5.1 or GPT-6 Astra in its pool. Both are available through an OpenAI compatible API.
