Elon Musk said SpaceX has closed $40 billion of debt financing to buy Nvidia GPUs, issued as private bonds through an off balance sheet entity, with chips arriving in the first half of 2027. Bloomberg reported the same day that pricing talks were still going and the deal was not yet priced, so the two accounts disagree on whether it is done. Musk also said lenders have stopped extending credit to firms with no revenue outside AI data centres, and that more than 200 neoclouds face what he called guppy level death and consolidation.
