Bloomberg, citing the New York Times, reported that Anthropic's annualized revenue will top $100 billion this year, against $65 billion at the end of July and about $9 billion at the end of 2025. The Wall Street Journal reported the same day that the company is moving ahead with a listing as soon as November at a valuation of roughly $2 trillion. Six days earlier Sam Altman said OpenAI would not go public in 2026 because, given everything happening with safety, it would be an ill advised moment. The two largest American labs have now taken opposite decisions about the same window.
