Bloomberg, citing the New York Times, reported that Anthropic's annualised revenue will pass $100 billion this year. It stood at $65 billion at the end of July, and about $9 billion at the end of 2025. The Wall Street Journal reported the same day that the company is moving towards a listing as soon as November, at a valuation of roughly $2 trillion. Six days earlier Sam Altman said OpenAI would not go public in 2026, calling it an ill advised moment given safety. The two largest American labs have taken opposite decisions about the same window.
